An internship abroad can be a really scary experience. However it can also be the most rewarding experience of your professional career. Similar to studying abroad, an internship outside North America takes you out of your comfort zone and places you in a new environment where you can learn about a new way of work and life in a whole new cultural experience.
Internships in England can be perfect for learning to work in an international environment. London in particular is the business hub of Europe and the perfect connection to Asia and Africa. You will be working and associating with people from all over the world in one city. Living in London is a great experience itself because of the diverse atmosphere the city offers. You will find it extremely hard to locate an English person in London and the only places to eat English food are pubs...but there are plenty of Indian, Thai, Italian and other worldly restaurants throughout the city.
You can also experience a new way of speaking English with words like rubbish, lift, boot etc. Just in general a place like London or England itself can open your eyes to the world around you in a new way. The people here are really wonderful, the jobs are fantastic, and well the weather isn't so bad.
